Fluid Solo and some Southeast Classics

Paddler: Mike Nail

So far, it's been a good year. The drought is officially over, and I went kayaking a lot. These classic runs in the southeast are a must if you live here. Each run is special in its own way, and each run holds a special place in my heart.

The Solo is a very easy boat to paddle. The outfitting is very strong and safe. Comfy backband, and bomber ratchet system. It really likes to be paddled like it has strong edges, but can also be paddled like a displacement hull when the weight is shifted to the rear. This makes big rapids fun. Boofs like a champ, turns on a freakin dime. The nice bow rocker makes it easy to launch over holes, big and small. It also resurfaces very predictably. It's a very fun boat to paddle.
